I got this feeling that we all were meant to be.. Something beautiful, something wild and free.. And I’m gonna keep on living ‘til that’s me.
You work so hard just to live from day to day.. Your back is bent and you never get to play.. You know there’s got to be a better way.
And your life it moves by quicker every day.
While you think of something clever you can say.


This life’s a mystery, but that ain’t nothing new.. We’re only human so we want to know what’s true.. At least this puzzle gives us all something to do.
We’re mostly blind to what can truly be.. We’ve got no clue about our cosmic destiny.. But still we’re hopeful that the truth will set us free.

These are times that won’t come back.. you can hope and pray and all of that, But for one and all it always fades to black.
But don’t let that get you down.. See there’s a light from all around..
And you wear it like a crown that you can’t see.

Your days and nights they flow by like a stream.. While the philosophers they say it’s all a dream.. It’s so confusing that sometimes you want to scream.
One day you’re young and the future’s bright and clear.. One day you wake up and your youth is not so near.. You can’t explain how you got from there to here.
But don’t let that get you down.. The Secret’s not so easily found..
Though the Answer’s all around and you can’t see.


I’m just another guy who’s writing down in song.. Things I wonder and some things that seem all wrong.. I’ll try my best not to make this go too long.
And in the end, when all is said and done.. The battle’s lost and the victories are won.. We’re always back where we had first begun.
But don’t let that drag you down.. See there’s a light from all around.
And you wear it like a crown, that you can’t see.
That’s all I had to say. You can take or leave it today.
But that light will go on shining any way.
